Broadmeadow Magic FC: Heritage, Community & Football Excellence

Founded in 1966 by Macedonian-Australian immigrants under the name Newcastle Macedonia, Broadmeadow Magic FC has grown into one of the most successful football clubs in Northern New South Wales. Today, playing at Magic Park in Broadmeadow, the club competes at the top tier of state competition and has achieved multiple premierships, championships and cup victories.

Yet the club is more than trophies. It remains rooted in its Macedonian heritage, acting as both a cultural anchor and a sporting pathway for local youth. Through Broadmeadow Magic FC, the Macedonian-Australian community in Newcastle has left a lasting legacy, illustrating how migrant communities enrich Australian sport, identity and society.

At the Australian Macedonian Council (NSW), we acknowledge and celebrate Broadmeadow Magic FC as a beacon of Macedonian-Australian achievement: where the pride of heritage meets the passion of football, and where community thrives on and off the pitch.
